Dr Rémi Peyraud, Co-founder – Chief Executive Officer
Systems Biologist, Biochemist, Modeler, Data Scientist.
Rémi led pionner research in systems biology for 10 years with a wide range of organisms. He published about 20 publications providing valuable virtual organisms and visionary breakthroughs in various fields.
I obtained my Ph.D in 2011 at ETH Zürich in Switzerland.
I developed systems biology approaches to elucidate metabolics pathways in Methylobacterium extorquens, an environmental microorganism of the plant microbiota used in withe biotechnology applications.
Then, I got an European founding (EMBO) to move at INRA Toulouse where I tackled the system-level reprogramming of the embedded metabolic and regulatory networks of two plant pathogens. First, the world wide destructive bacterial pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum, and then the generalist fungal pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorium. I developed sophisticated mathematical models to predict the spatiotemporal dynamics of microbes infecting plant tissues and its consequences on plant physiology.
Through my carrier, I developed an expert skill on reconstructing high-quality genome-scale mathematical models and designing creative systems biology pipe line and app to wide range of organisms and applications, such as synthetic biology for high-value compounds production, drug resistance of cancer cells, pathogenicity & immune system modelling.
