Welcome aboard Damien, who brings added depth to iMEAN’s Business team!
We’re delighted to announce the arrival of Damien in our team! With a robust scientific foundation in microbiology and bioprocessing, coupled with extensive experience in innovative business development, Damien brings a complementary set of skills to our business team.
Following his in-depth research on cheese microbial communities and Redox mechanism activities in Lactic Acid Bacteria during his Master’s degree (AgroParisTech) through to his Ph.D. in Food Microbiology and Bioprocesses at the University of Burgundy, Damien joined to ANSES (the French Agency for Food, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety) as a Scientific Project Manager within the Food Safety Laboratory. There, he contributed to the mandate of the European Reference Laboratory for Listeria monocytogenes to fostering the harmonization and continuous improvement of European foodborne pathogen surveillance.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit since his doctoral studies, Damien co-founded a startup specializing in phytoremediation, where he served as CSO. This enriching experience propelled him to TWB, where he excelled as a Startup Partnerships Manager, playing a pivotal role in cultivating collaborative ventures with startups. Drawing from his multifaceted experience and service-oriented mindset, there is no doubt he will seamlessly blend into our iMEAN team. “Hey, we already know!
