Celebrating 6 Years of Innovation and Growth at iMEAN

We’re proud to be celebrating the 6th anniversary of iMEAN and taking this opportunity to reflect on the journey we’ve taken in unlocking the bioeconomy through our living organism modelling technology.

We Keep On Climbing

In 2024, our growth continued both in the scope of our projects and in our team:

  • Our revenue continues to grow, and we have surpassed our breakeven point for the second consecutive year.
  • This growth reflects the trust our clients place in us, with over 54% of our 2024 projects coming from repeat customers.
  • The strong balance sheet of the company allowed us to fuel investments with €500k non-dilutive funding thanks to BPI and BNP.
  • This success showcases the tireless efforts of our expanding team, which is now comprised of 17 talented individuals, +30% compared to last year!

During this last year, our work included multiple groundbreaking projects in various fields, such as:

  • Helping in the combat of climate change: through microalgae for carbon capture and screening of solutions to produce 33 bio-based small and macro-molecules.
  • Supporting the production of human and veterinary healthcare solutions: optimising production of probiotics solutions that improve health and well-being naturally.
  • Leveraging biological systems for depollution and environmental solutions: by exploring bioremediation and carbon fixation strategies to clean up and protect our planet.
  • Eco-friendly and optimisation of agricultural practices: for example, improving bioproduction of innovative biopesticides solutions for crop protection.

Full-Stack Modelling and Simulation Services

Besides our mathematical models being even more sophisticated, one of our biggest milestones this year was extending our in-house simulation capabilities with high-throughput applications and algorithms, enabling us to explore easily a vaster solutions space, and deliver faster results for our partners and clients. Thanks to this new capability, we ran this year several vast screening of biosolutions through wide biodiversity.

Hence, several customers integrate more and more of our technology for explorative studies to find innovative solutions or test repositioning of their products in new application fields.
