A new collaboration between iMEAN and SRI International will allow iMEAN in silico models to be explored with SRI’s Pathway Tools software

Toulouse, France, September 2022 – Providing user-friendly interfaces that enable researchers to easily explore high quality in silico models is the focus of this new collaboration between the French startup and the Californian institute.
iMEAN uses a technology based on the construction of digital organisms, mathematical representations of complex molecular networks of living organisms at the genome scale.
SRI International’s Pathway Tools desktop and webserver software provides a suite of tools for searching, analyzing, and visualizing the information in its own or user-supplied pathway/genome databases. These tools accelerate research and lead to a greater understanding of biological systems.
Through this collaboration, iMean customers will be able to access in silico models of organisms of interest—e.g., bacteria, fungi, yeast, microalgae, plants, etc.—via web interfaces generated by SRI’s Pathway Tools. In this way, iMEAN will be able to provide complete analysis pipelines, including the construction of an organism’s molecular network, the setup of a private web interface, and the maintenance of the IT facilities that will enable a customer to focus on one task: exploring the metabolic capabilities of their organism.
