iMEAN at Synbiobeta 2026
Catalyzing innovation in synthetic biology through mechanistic modelling and AI
From May 5 to 7, 2026, iMEAN took part in SynBioBeta 2026, one of the key international events dedicated to synthetic biology. As a sponsor and exhibitor, we had the opportunity to connect with a dynamic community of scientists, innovators, and industry leaders shaping the future of biotechnology.
A leading event for the synthetic biology community
We would like to warmly thank the Synbiobeta organizing team for delivering such a high‑quality event. Over three days, the program featured inspiring panels, thought‑provoking discussions, and a strong focus on emerging trends in the field.
Key themes included the growing importance of modelling approaches and the rapid progress made through artificial intelligence. These discussions highlighted how combining disciplines is becoming essential to better understand, predict, and engineer biological systems.
Strong interest in iMEAN’s approach
Throughout the event, our team welcomed many visitors at the booth and had engaging conversations with a wide range of stakeholders.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who stopped by and showed interest in our solutions. These exchanges confirmed a strong demand for approaches that help:
- accelerate R&D timelines
- reduce uncertainty and risk
- improve decision-making through quantitative insights
Our position, based on mechanistic modelling combined with AI, resonated with participants from multiple sectors including industrial biotech, foodtech, and health.
Contributing to the discussion
iMEAN also contributed to the scientific program through the breakout session:
“The Physics of Life: Scaling Biology from Molecules to Cells”
This session provided a valuable opportunity to explore how quantitative and mechanistic modelling can help bridge biological scales and support the design of more predictable and robust systems.
We would like to extend our thanks to the panel participants, including Andrew Hessel, Huafeng Xu, and Niko McCarty, for the quality of the discussion and the perspectives shared.
Looking ahead
SynBioBeta 2026 confirmed the strong momentum of synthetic biology and the increasing role of integrated modelling and AI in driving innovation.
At iMEAN, we are convinced that these approaches will continue to transform how biological systems are developed and scaled. We look forward to building on the connections made during the event and continuing discussions with partners across the ecosystem.
