iMEAN at the Functional-Structural Plant Models 2026 Congress in Montpellier
iMEAN is pleased to announce its participation at the Functional Structural Plant Models 2026 Conference (FSPM2026), taking place from October 12 to 16 in Montpellier, France.
Representing iMEAN, Pablo Ugalde Salas, our Life Science Modeller, and Jeanne Burdin, our PhD Student, will be there to present their work during the conference’s poster lightning talk sessions.
Exploring Plant Growth and Health Through Modelling
Pablo will present “A whole plant model for water stress and drought.” This work explores the use of whole-plant modelling to study plant responses to water limitation, contributing to a better understanding of how drought affects plant growth.
His poster lightning talk will take place on Monday, October 12, from 15:27 to 15:29.
While Jeanne will present “Modelling the infection of Dickeya dadantii in tomato using a multi-organ model to understand its impact on plant growth and health.’’ project conducted in collaboration with MAP Laboratory, UMR 5240 : Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, CNRS, INSA and Haichar Feth el Zahar.
Which will highlight her contribution on modelling the interaction and impact of infection at the level of different plant organs and the whole plant.
Her poster lightning talk will take place on Tuesday, October 13, from 12:24 to 12:27.
These contributions reflect iMEAN’s continued work on digital plant models to better understand complex biological systems.
By bringing together plant modelling, systems biology and in silico analysis, we support our partners in exploring plant–microorganism interactions and plant responses to environmental conditions, helping guide their research and development projects.
Let’s Meet in Montpellier !
